Strataderm Scar Therapy Gel 10g
"As we start back into anal play after surgery, it's imperative to have strength in our scar lines, along with distensibility. That’s why Strataderm is currently our go-to for scar treatment. For the anal region in particular, it’s important to have a quick-drying protective layer that softens and protects the scar lines, which is exactly what this product offers. We tested a lot of options and this one came out on top for our bottoms."
- Dr. Evan Goldstein
Strataderm is a rapid-drying, non-sticky, transparent, silicone gel formulation for the treatment of both old and new scars, as well as abnormal scar prevention, in the form of hypertrophic scars and keloids. When used as directed, Strataderm dries to form a silicone gel sheet—a protective layer that is gas permeable and waterproof, which hydrates, softens, and protects your scar.
Intended use:
- Strataderm is used for the prevention and treatment of keloids and hypertrophic scars.
- Strataderm can also be used in conjunction with other invasive scar treatment options to improve overall results, including surgical excision and resuturing, intralesional injections and pressure garments.
- Strataderm is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin.
- Strataderm is safe to use during pregnancy, whilst breastfeeding and on infants.
How much Strataderm do I need?
Strataderm does not soak into the skin, rather it dries to form a very thin layer that is less than the thickness of a piece of paper or as if you stretch a piece of household clingfilm over your skin. This is why one tube of Strataderm goes a long way and usually lasts for a treatment of 90 days or more.
Strataderm 10g is enough to treat a 5-7cm linear scar for over 90 days.
